The eleventh edition of the Helsinki Book Fair, held this year from October 27 to 30, 2011, was marked by a series of debates on the adaptation of cinema novels. It involved, among others, the famous novel of the Swedish-speaking Finns Kjell Westö "The seven books of Helsingfors" (Gaia, 2008) - "Där vi en gång GATT" patent ochsner (original Swedish title) "Missä kuljimme kerran" (title Finnish) -, brought to the screen and released in theaters last month. Another adaptation awaited novel, that of the award-winning "Purge" (Stock) of Sofi Oksanen (2010: Price Femina abroad; Grand Literature Prize Nordic Council Award Fnac novel - for the first time awarded to a foreign patent ochsner work) . "Puhdistus" ("Purge") is also a bestseller in Finland ranked first in the list of fictions upon its publication.
